How to watch

Watching equestrian sport.

The FEI's live-streaming service, FEI.TV, joined forces with ClipMyHorse.TV in 2020, and individual events and national broadcasters make their own arrangements. This page sets out what organisers and the press reported, as of 21 October 2026, and says where we found nothing.

The FEI's streaming service

In July 2020 the FEI and ClipMyHorse.TV agreed to combine their live-streaming services, with the FEI taking an equity stake in ClipMyHorse.TV, which the release described as the FEI's first equity stake in a company. FEI.TV kept its own look at the time (FEI release as carried by British Showjumping, 13 July 2020). We have not checked which competitions each service carries in 2026 or what either costs, and this site does not quote subscription prices.

The 2026 World Championships in Aachen (finished)

Coverage of Aachen was reported country by country:

  • Streaming: Your Horse (7 August 2026) said all the action would stream on ClipMyHorse.TV and FEI.TV, describing the latter as a subscription service, and had no news of BBC or other British television coverage.
  • Free-to-air television: a Horse and Hound guide, seen in a search summary, listed free-to-air jumping coverage in some countries, naming RTBF in Belgium, CBC in Canada, ZDF in Germany and SVT Play in Sweden, and no complete terrestrial coverage in the UK or the US. We could not read the guide itself.
  • Canada: Equestrian Canada pointed Canadian viewers to ClipMyHorse.TV, CBC Gem and CBCSports.ca, according to a search summary of its page; unconfirmed.

The championships are over; results are on the 2026 World Championships page.

We did not find whether the BBC arrangement for Badminton continues after 2026. Pau, the last of the seven five-stars to run in 2026, is listed for 22 to 25 October, with dressage on Thursday and Friday, cross country on Saturday and jumping on Sunday (JDS listing). Event-by-event results are on eventing five-stars.

What you are watching

Each discipline has a page explaining its rules, which helps when following a stream:

  • Dressage: set movements judged on their quality and on the overall impression of the test (Olympic Federation of Ireland); see dressage.
  • Jumping: a course of obstacles inside a set time, with penalties for knock-downs, refusals and exceeding the time allowed (Olympic Federation of Ireland), and jump-offs between riders tied for first (Equestrian Australia); see show jumping.
  • Eventing: dressage, cross country and jumping on the same horse, the lowest penalty total winning (FEI Eventing Rules 2026, as reproduced by Equestrian Australia); see eventing.
  • Driving: combined driving has dressage, a timed marathon of up to 22 km with obstacles, and a cones course (Driving Queensland); see driving and vaulting.
  • Vaulting: gymnastics and dance on a horse that a lunger controls on a circle, in individual, pas de deux and squad competitions (Wikipedia).
  • Endurance and para dressage: see endurance and para dressage events.
